To Swim, or Not to Swim???

I am looking for some feedback here. I am thinking of enrolling Belle in a water baby class this fall. It is at an indoor pool and the age range is starting at 6 months. Belle doesn't mind when we take her in the pool. This past beach trip she even seemed to enjoy it.

Have any of your kids done this? What was the experience? What age do you think best to get a kid used to swimming?

Caleb started swimming lessons at 6mos. He did it w/Craig and they had fun. I think it made Caleb more comfortable in the water too. and he loves jumping off the sides which he learned in class. I think it was good bonding time too for them. Just my opinion :) love ya

Go for it! We started Todd this year at 3, but I totally think that he would have been fine 2 years ago. Natalie hasn't started lessons yet, but that's mostly because I wasn't wanting to do 2 sets of swimming lessons this summer! Both of the kids LOVE the water at the pool and the lake! My thought - if you're up for it, then go for it!
